Recently I have been building boxes to hold jarred/canned goods from our farm. Here is one of them that I just finished, the next ones the screws will be on the inside and invisible. The top is recessed and just sits on there, dimensions 13x14x14" (I believe)
right on, there is tung oil under the poly just to darken it up a little bit.
