KTM 450SXF Stator Wiring

While my bike was in the garage on the cheap triangle stand, it somehow fell over and the shifter punctured the ignition cover causing damage to the stator in the process. I have purchased a new stator and ignition cover however, upon removing the 2 bullet connectors under the seat for the stator I have a question. Both wires are yellow and are not marked in any way identifying positive or negative, does it matter which way I install the new stator wires? Is there a way I could inadvertently reverse the polarity and cause damage?
