So I'm still not entirely certain the exact year. I'm pretty sure it's not an 80. But it could be an 81, 82 or 83. I'm still researching trying to figure this out. But about my carb. One of the last times I've ridden this bike, the fuel was really low, and I was following my friend back to where the trailer was parked and as I was turning left at this intersection, the bike just accelerated out of control and I think I kinda popped a wheelie, then dumped the bike, smashed up my elbow and my hip. I went on the forums to find out why the bike could have done that, and I thought I had discovered what I was being told was an issue with these bikes, that if you let the fuel run out too far, somehow, you could get some sort of sporadic fuel amounts being delivered to the engine. Then a few weeks later I was trying to get the bike started, and it wouldnt start. I figured I'd take a look at the carb to see if maybe the floats were stuck or whatever. As soon as I opened the carb a screw and one or two other parts fell out, I don't remember exactly what it was that fell out, but I know for a fact at least a screw and maybe one or two other parts. I put the carb back together properly, with the loose parts back where they were supposed to go, but I still can't get the bike to start. I wanted to know if someone can tell me if I should buy a rebuild kit, or go ahead and just buy an entirely new carb. Thanks in advance for any advice you can offer!
