I just bought a TTR 125 need help with idle, it won't stay running

i have played with the screw on the carb but, it won't bring the idle up, any help would be great

You need to clean the carb and air cleaner. I have a ttr and when it won't idle the carb needs cleaning.

Do you think he might be turning the wrong screw? Sounds like the low speed/pilot jet needs ckeaning too, but I have always been able to get one that will run at all rev up even if eratic.

Here's only one screw on the stock carb and it only adjusts so far. These bikes are so reliable that the only run issue I have ever had is carb getting a little gummed and causing the idle to miss. Even with a dirty carb the sucker will still run awesome.

Oh the one in the float bowl? Maybe.

if it will run with the choke on then the pilot jet is plugged

Thanks guys I cleaned the carb,and adjusted the idle screw and it works great BRAAAP.....
