Yamaha fuel tank

Found a solution , lightly sanded outside of tank at cracks , used a product called seal all , spread on and into cracks , pulled a slight vaccumn on tank and let set for a week , here it is mostly in the 90's so it cured very hard . Filled tank with fuel and let it sit for 3 weeks , No leaks , don't know if it will hold under riding conditions , but a new tank from Partzilla , best price found , 255.00 plus frt. Hope it works !

If it dont leak, I would roll with that all day long!
I'm no expert I but would consider that a better option than a $250.00 fix.
I have a 93 KLX650R that has an unusual (longer) petcock that is just a POS poor design IMO.
So rather than spend a ridiculous amount of $$$ for a new OE replacement, which is just another piece of shit design, I brought it to a local shop and dude put some stuff on it (epoxy???) and it still works and holds.
Spending ridiculous money for obscure parts is bullshit in my view.
I'd rather design a new part on my CAD program, and have it machined, than pay the OE price for parts.
It's not rocket surgery.
Getting ripped off pisses me off.
