After church, my neighbor rode up to my house and asked if I wanted to come with him to help out and give advice (this was his first time). So, I agreed and got my helmet ready and left with him wearing only my jacket, flannel, jeans, and work boots. I wasn't expecting to ride much, only to show him the track. I'm also not supposed to be "hitting the jumps" or "going fast", you'll see how that goes in a little. Anyways, we got to the track around 3:30. My friend, Tyler McGuire, ended up crashing after he scrubbed a table top and didn't bring it back around fully. He got knocked out and broke his collarbone in 2 places, along with a broken thumb. He's got surgery today, I believe. Please pray for him a speedy recovery, by the way! We got to riding, me riding my friend's KX100 and it felt great to be back on the track. I started out rolling all the jumps since it was a little intimidating taking that thing off the jump since it is small and the suspension is so soft for me. Eventually, I got to hitting the jumps. It's weird how much I had to wring that thing just to get it to clear an uphill 50ft double. I was hitting it 3rd pinned and I was still coming up a little short, along with the front end sinking. I started hitting the corner in 3rd and shifting up into 4th with 3/4 throttle just to clear it. It was fun as heck! I have to say that my corning was great that day, and so was my overall riding. I was putting a lot of passes on people that are pretty good. I got a couple of compliments, mostly on my cornering. So! Overall, I'd say that was a pretty good day of my first day back at the track. I'd also like to ask about what bike I should get if I can keep riding. I'm wondering if I should get a 125 or a 250 two-stroke if I sell my bike. I have never ridden either of them, but after riding the 100, I'm skeptical on the power of the 125.
