Hi I have a 85 Cr 250R my clutch went on it I bought a new one with a new cable but it will not disengage. Any ideas. My name is Lee I live in Ishpeming,MI

you left something out or have it in the wrong order. my guess is the single ball bearing under the lifter cap.

It's seems like it don't hit the pressure plate the ball bearing is good what order do th go in I got 7 friction and 6 spacer
Friction first and last! Where did you buy the clutch plates and are they Oem?
Reason I ask is ive read eBay ads for clutch kits stating 7+6 but bike is 6+5 stock
I would say lift cap bearing too so re-check it didn't fall out during reassembly:noidea:
The clutch actuator at the opposite end of the push rod takes bad wear eventually so worth pulling it out for inspection!:thumb:
