250 Blue forks

Does anyone know the year/years the blue anodized fork tubes came on the kx250? This is a 92. I heard the only did it for one year but I have seen some 96s with blue forks. Anyone happen to know the years for sure? And why the hell did they stop doing this from the factory?! They look so good!! Also I have seen some 125s with them.

I thought the same thing about them being so good looking. the kyb's that came on the yamahas were so plain and blah in comparison.

Try a jock or jockey type briefs, ditch the bungie chord

i just looked at a kx500 that had a for sale sign on it stating it was a 97 with them.

Now that I am looking more for it, I have found it on a couple of well used ones, and it actually held up decently. At least as good as the more golden variety that Showa used on some Hondas.

The blue anodized holds up well. Just like Kawasakis 2T stock pipe coating. That stuff is amazing!

Via tech care a 97 kx 125/250/500 have 46mm tubes. And 03 is 125/250 have 48mm.
