One of my friends has a 08 525 RR with a plate. It's a nice bike.

That bike has a KTM engine. The 2010's have beta engines. Herd nothing but good things about the Italian machine. Have you had a chance to ride the bike CL?

Not yet. I've been resisting it as once I try it I fear I'll have to get one.

Just checked out the Beta site, nice bikes, 50 state legal dual sports. Throw fuel injection on and could be a contender.

One of our very good riding buddies rides the 450rr the 2009 his father is a dealer for beta. they got the new beta motored 2010's in. I just ripped up and down the street on one but the motor is definately no slouch. Its very KTM like.

Just read an article in Dirt Bike about the 520RS with the new Beta motor and it sounds very promising.... :smirk:
