looking at buying another dirt bike I found a 94 YZ250 the guy said the clutch is bad so the bike won’t start but has compression. Would a bad clutch cause a bike not to start?
Never seen a "bad clutch" in person. Only mis-adjusted clutches on bikes with dirty carburetors.
If it seems sound, and the price is right, it would be a fun bike. May take a bit of work to get it in riding shape. -BIG DAN

it may not be able to move down the road with a bad clutch, but the clutch doesn't affect starting unless something is badly coming apart and somehow lock up the kick start gears.
