RM125 Aftermarket ignition system.

Are hpi ignition systems any good? I have a '92 RM 125 for which I need a new CDI. Just wanted something cheap.

The standard OEM style CDIs are pretty cheap on ebay/amazon.
I haven't seen a CDI go bad, though, in many years of motorcycle maintenance.
Are you replacing a missing one?

No spark. Checked coil and magneto with ohm meter and they were in spec. The CDI showed infinite resistance on all leads except those that were supposed to be zero, showed zero. Thanks for the response.

Not yet. I checked the CDI again and I did get readings, but they didn't match those in the owner's service manual. I checked the peak voltage from the magneto, and got 17 volts. I got a new ignition coil also, but still just get a weak spark.
