2 Stroke '97 cr250 questions

Hi, I'm new and I have a '97 cr250 I can pick up for under $400. It needs a top end job..(cylinder is good)...Also needs a plastic kit. It has Good tires, full pro-circuit system and pro-taper bars. What I want to do with the plastic is a '97 rear fender, rad pieces and side plates. And I am wondering what the newest front fender I can use would be?

Any other suggestions on what to mod?

Most front fenders will work even if the bolt pattern is off a little. Drill and or file a little. Cut off the backside if needed to clear the down tube of the frame.
Check sprockets and chain, then ride the piss out of it!

OK thanks...I was thinking about an '04 front fender. Will any newer years of the rad plates, side plaques and rear fender fit the '97?
