250F 2009 Yz250f Rev's Sticking When Throttle Pulled With Clutch In At A Standstill.

Hi everyone, I'm new to these forums in hopes for some help with my bike. When the bike is at a standstill (not moving) clutch pulled in (in gear and or in neutral) alongside a blip of the throttle the bike continues to rev for increased amount of time even when the throttle has been layed off after the first blip. 12546182_936681846385611_1582532585_o.jpg

I'm unsure about what to do and I would highly appreciate any advise. :thumb:

Yeah.....I think the first thing I'd do is while it's running spray down the area between the carb and cylinder with carb clean. If the engine rpm changes while doing this, you have an air leak, If not then I'd remove the carb and clean it out thoroughly, probably set the float while your there. This will either fix the problem or worst case you've just eliminated several possible causes to narrow your search for the problem.
