85 2003 kx85 help

I have a 2003 kx85 and it won't start. so I took apart the carburetor to clean it however lost some parts. I just bought a new off branded one from Amazon and am waiting for its arrival. I'm not sure if the carburetor is the reason the bike won't start. I read online that it might be the reed valve so I began disassembling it however stripped the lug nut and cannot remove it no matter what i try. After watching several videos and buying socket extractors I'm still getting nowhere. should I go out of my way to take the bike to a professional shop or wait till the carburetor comes, install it and see if the bike starts?

While the bolt should be removed and replaced at some point, with the intent of determining worth of a new-to-you bike, I would wait for the new carburetor to start it and find more things that you'd like to fix before possibly holding yourself up for even longer.
In the meantime, you need verify a clean air filter, compression, and fresh clean fuel in the tank.
