2 Stroke 2000 cr115 low compression.

So I have a 2000 cr125, it starts up first or second kick, sometimes it doesn't want to start again after riding for a little while. I pulled the pipe off to look up at the cylinder, and noticed a crack in the exaughst valve. On the left side of it. Would this be causing my issues?

Sounds like it's time for a rebuild and a good carb cleaning along with setting the floats and proper jetting.

It looks like it comes all the way closed. You need to spend a little to fix that before more of it comes undone. You don't say how much time is on yours and how you are comparing the compression etc. 125's never feel like they have a lot, but most of them are ready for new rings where compression is concerned. Put it together by being overly free with the assembly oil on a used surface and they don't hold compression all that long.

Just did a compression test and it had 165psiso it's got good compression. I'm used to kicking my yz250 haha not used to it being that easy.

yeah, our cr125 always felt softer to kick than our yz 125s' with comparable compression. I start thinking ring replacement around 175-180, but I dont know that year all that well. The valve would be getting fixed as fast as ups delivers.
