What did you do to your bike today?

2 things. First I run a 120/100 x 18 and it does not look like this size is available. Second, it says this tire is made for soft terrain so wouldn't it be destroyed quickly with the terrain we ride in? I never know what to thing about soft compound, hard compound and what works better. Does it make that big of a difference I wonder?

That's what I thought too, but he put a lot of miles on his, yes 300 OW miles which is sand, but the rest at Spangler, and that other place. Besides, all I ride is sand washes anyway.:smirk:

On size, get the 140/80x18. It would be their equivlant.:thumb:

Every aspect of the Michelin XC-series tire has been designed to maximize traction.
New rubber mixture improves the tires durability by 25% and grip by 5-10% over their predecessors.
Aggressive, terrain-specific knob pattern bites down hard while resisting chunking.
The XC tire casing is designed to absorb impacts with less rebound, so the tire spends more time on the ground for outstanding acceleration, braking and steering.
Michelin tire size 120/80x19 = 100/90x19 Conventional sizing
Michelin tire size 120/90x18 = 100/100x18 Conventional sizing
Michelin tire size 130/70x19 = 110/90x19 Conventional sizing
Michelin tire size 130/80x18 = 110/100x18 Conventional sizing
Michelin tire size 140/80x18 = 120/100x18 Conventional sizing
Michelin tire size 90/90x21 = 80/100x21 Conventional sizing

they have an intermediate version of it 530, but no hard terrain version

Not as much knobs on the intermediate one though.:noidea:

I'm thinking that soft terrain includes sand (washes), gravel, rocks (shale), normal desert surface (sandy)...Hard Pack is more like a dry lake surface which is about all we see in the dez except for the once in a while trail but are few andfar between. :ride:

Gave her a nice bath last night, time to park her for the winter. :pout:
You should have crated her up and sent her to Cali. We would have prepped her and dragged it out to T-Day for you. It is just going to sit in the shed anyways for the next 6 months. Then you would have no excuses when riding....:thumb:

That was actually looked into, however it'd be about cheaper to just buy a bike out there. :bonk:

We're not sure yet what'll happen bike wise.
Tell Rack to have Wilson's prep a new 350exc Gold Fish for you. I know CDA Jr. would like to throw a leg over one of those. He may let you ride his Smoker if that happens.
