Bad season bike wise? hah me to

well this spring for my birthday my dad got me a 2010 yz125 and as soon as i got it i put a fatty pipe and powercore 2 silencer on it. i had these people tune it and at the time i thought it was right but later on it would bite me in the ass. My mom lost her job and so we were tight on money and wen i was riding i relized all my power was just.... gone. so my firned took it apart (sence i knew nothing about working on bikes) and the ring over heated and flat sided it and it scratched my cylender so i had to get a whole new top end... not bad right? second ride in IT SHOWS THE SAME SYMPTOMS! and yet again flat sided ring and scratched cylender wall so again a whole new top end kit. my friend tuned it and its running strong and i no this for a fact this time haha and before that ive had carb problems for about a week and couldnt figure it out because i would turn it off and gas would just flow out of the carb. so i checked the float.... not it! so i did it another 3 times praying something would click back into nplace and it would run good but it turns out a seal broke and it was ablke to let gas pour through. then my fork seals broke. if the bike traets me like this again next year im dropping it and getting a diffrent bike but i love two strokes and as long as its leagal im going to own one:thumb:

That sucks man, sorry about the bad luck. You always need to have your 125 tuned right if you want to get any power out of them. BTW its good to see another member rockin' a 125 :thumb:. Also have you met Suzukidude yet? i think you guys would get along.

Yeah you've had a bunch of problems with that bike, I've told you many times to just junk it and get a "real" bike. :P

Heck Myron had the same thing with his Honda, one thing after another. :bonk:

Fork seals are known to go pretty fast in certain terrain, try seal savers:thumb:

When you finally get rid of that 2010yz(really a rebranded 06) you should consider the ktm 125/150 :thumb:

I am assuming ( I know I shouldn't do that) that when you flat sided the ring?? and you scratched the cylinder.. you had the cylinder replated? If not then the second time that would or could have been your issue. Sounds like you may be running it too lean if you keep smoking the ring. I would check your plug and see how its burning. If you have a white or ashy looking core in your plug you're running it way to lean.

yeah i plan on getting a ktm my next bike i shouldve done it this year but it was cheaper and we didnt have the money at the time so im stuck with this thing for a few years hahaha, and i did have it replated all three times haha whcich sucked i was off the bike for a long time this year due to bike injury hah not rider injury. yeah and the jetting was sooo far if its ridiculous like i had i think a size 180? and now i have a 240 haha. and james idk only if u can take me because i think my moms working but ill defintly be there sunday :banana:

I finally rebuilt my 02 125 sx. Needed new piston and a cylinder hone. This is what she looks like now. I'd for sure get a KTM next bike, this bike has been around for toooo long lol :banana:

haha awesome! ya im going ktm because they are still devoloping there bikes while yamaha is just letting the 2 strokes slip away

jason? what bike does he have cause im not remembering wo this is lol and also i cant because i forgot i work saturday until like 2 or 3 so mabye i can have my dad drop me off afterward
