450F What exhaust do I need?? Wr450f

I have just purchased this wr450f
jyacj04w0000 and the exhaust has been changed and is clearly not the right one, as you can see the first section is a lot smaller than the second so cannot be connected properly? Do I need a bigger front part or a smaller back part? Thanks in Advance

That would be the best way to go. It looks like you're in England and not sure what your access to used parts may be. You could identify the head pipe and exhaust (probably 2 different brands and maybe for different year model bikes) and see if you could find the matching opposite part. There should be some info stamped into them that would help you identify. That head pipe is pretty much toast. If you have some decent tools and metal skills, you could possibly hammer out those dents but it would take a some time and effort. Definitely would be easier to take BWM's advice.

Cheers mate

You should type in your year model as well since there are different engines used over the years which use different pipe size/configurations.

I believe you may be reading it wrong . 10th. Digit is yeay model on my chart... there are no zero or O digits so as not to be confused . Unless it is a European bike , which changes the whole picture ....

You're probably right. I tried another VIN decoder and it said the number in his post is an invalid VIN.

Need to pull the Vin from behind the front light on steering stem. Best case it is between 2000 - 2004, they went to an aluminum frame in 2005.

I stand corrected on my earlier statement. 2003 - 2006 is the steal frame 450s, starting in 2007 the aluminum frame came out.
