How to know if I need new bottom end bearings?

i got a 1984 cr80 the bike was in real bad shape. Missing a lot of parts but the engine looked great. Cylinder was all smooth and no scratches or gouges and the crank has no play at all so it's in good shape. Anyways I don't know how to check if bearings are in good shape or not so how would I know? I took the engine all apart except for splitting the cases and everything looks clean and perfect.

Yeah it DEFINITELY needs new crank bearings. Glad I split the cases. Bearings are rusted frozen and won't even spin. Apparently the crank was just spinning on its own inside the bearing. I'm surprised it spun so easy. Crank is in great shape though but I'm gonna replace it anyways and sell this one on eBay. Everything else in the engine looks pristine thankfully. Just gonna replace the crank, bearings, and seals along with new piston rings and circlips and then of course new gaskets and hone the cylinder.
