It has been 6.99 for at least 4 years. Never changes.

Like av. I ended up having to buy some last night since I only wanted 5 gallons. hovers right around 5 all the time. I think there are only two places refining piston avgas in the world so we all get about the same thing. 90 is about as high of an octane rating as I see at our pumps, but at least it is corn free.

Andy, there's an airstrip right by my house, as a matter of fact aerobatics champ Kirby Chambliss (name drop ha) has a hanger there and he told me all i have to do is make up a # to get some but I haven't tried it. I've read positive and negative things about running it in bikes. I guess if you use it with your years of experience it must be ok.
Here's some of the planes that buzz my house.

When they fly over you know something is coming.. I'd hate to have been on on the ground in WWII and heard a dozen of them flying low.. time to cover your ass!

AV gas is engineered for low rpm high altitude motors. Not what you want to dump into your high rpm race bike but it's still better than pump. I've never seen or heard of anyone blame AV fuel for a bad running bike.

I've never seen a vP has station either, until today! Was out putting random miles on the Z and saw one out in the middle of nowhere. I circled through looking for performance petrol and half the pumps were bagged and none were above 93. Worst looking gas station I've ever seen!

27 years ago i followed my cousin Richard Devine junior ( Glasgow Honda dealer Victor Devines nephew ) around quite a few race meets all over the UK and he was using avgas and somewhat kicked ass using it, in one season he took Scottish junior and senior titles along with UK junior and hazey on this, possibly UK senior too on cr250's and 500's!
Honda apparently were a bunch of A holes and wouldnt sign him up because his dad and uncle had the dealership and already supplied and worked his bikes,
I'm just remembering chat in the back workshop in the old dealership on Great western road between my dad and Richard senior, loved spending my Saturday's there running cr80's 125's and 250's up and down the lane once they had final assembly from the crate! :ride::thumb:
There were scooters and xl's and all the red I could get my hands on:blah::blah::blah:
Hence I s'pose my username and love for the marque!:bonk:

Great memories.......by the way, Team Honda has had a reputation for being buttholes whether in MX, or off-road. So hopefully your cousin didn't feel to personaly attacked. They are basically like that to everybody.

My son works on radials. 18 cyls in two rows on many of them. Did you ever see a connecting rod or cam for one of them?

Back when we could get leaded pump gas I stayed away from av. I can get it for free if I want to make a drive. NOTHING stores like it. It cleans about like adding sea foam. If I compare it's specific gravity to some of the race fuels it jets similarly . If I was normally buying it, I would probably get one of the race gases instead tho. Some of them will actually increase performance. Some by quite a bit, but with a 75 dollar a trail ride price.

Ooof $75 a ride not gonna happen. It's already $40-50 for a practice day here.
Then add fuel and lunch. I run the race fuel in my 2ts at about 50/50 just to have a better running bike. The RMZ250 gets about 25% mix with a splash of premix and seafoam. There's a low end knock that I was never able to really jet out. The slightly higher octane got rid of it. As for performance I do see way better throttle response but nothing on the power end to speak of.
