New guy here!

Hello guys, just found the forum today. Im getting back into riding after some 10 plus years...back then my weapon of choice was a 89 Yamaha YZ 490, first bike I owned and learned on. Now Im getting a 98 Honda CR500. I mostly do sand dune riding, I live in Peru and we have some of the greatest dunes.

Saludos!

Here is my "new" bike, I actually havent even signed the papers on it yet! hahaha This will happen on Friday....I havent taken it out, only a few times around the block trying it out. The owner is the president of the FIM for Latin America so its been treated nicely:) Its a rare find here in Peru, everyone rides KTM 4 strokes now....boy have things changed. I will post pics of my first ride, hopefully it happens this weekend!

Great looking bike!

Don't worry. That bike will destroy any KTM 4T. Not much has changed when you ride a CR500... :smirk:-BIG DAN

LOL yeah I didnt understand that we have to put a screen name and then a "real" name....so I just made something up!
Am i able to change it? I think they were pretty specific on the not being able to change it afterwards part....or was that another forum?

The real [first] name serves two purposes, keeps the forum more personal and it's a good way to spot spammers as they usually put gibberish in that spot.

You can change the name part here. https://www.dirtbikeaddicts.com/content/account/personal-details

Welcome..

I like the Five Hundo. Those CR500 smokers will eat anything out there, 2 stroke or 4.

Enjoy the site :spin:

Peru huh, I think CTR may need to go international.. It is in Chile..:spin:
