All The I wish it were cooler pre Tday Cal City I can't wait to ride Labor Day thread.

Geek I'm in. Anyone knows if it's possible to rent a generator? and how much would that run for a weekend?

I'm sure that it is possible. Call one of those equipment rental places.

The big question is what do you want to run. It takes a lot of generator to run an AC unit. They have a big startup surge and the gen has to be able to supply it. You will need at least 3000watts to start a 10000BTU AC. I have a wimpy 1000 watter and it will not start my small 5000 BTU window unit.

A/C...WTF? I thought you were ADDICTS :noidea: A little shade, cool water over the head and set your chair (CDA and RACK would know this) in a nice breeze...with a cold beverage of your choice!

That's those guys with their trailers and RV's. When I head out it is me, my F150 4x4, my XR600, and perhaps some camping gear. If it's not going to rain and the bugs are not going to suck me dry I sleep in the back of the truck. It allows me to get away from the crowds.
