on that generation yes, but I'm a function over appearance guy and I miss being able to secure my bike better and still shut the tail gate.

Really. I gotta short box (6 ft) and I slide my front tire over to the left and swing the ass over and it clears by an inch or so. And that's with a roll bar in my bed too

I do that too, but I'd rather just roll the bike straight in.

I just jam 3 bikes anyway they fit in my 6 footer.....I can put the tailgate up but the tailgate handle/latch is a little sketchy so I just leave it down.

I put two in my bed. Just use a clasp to hook my gear bag to on of my pegs.
