Michelin Starcross MS3 Tires

Has anybody body used these before? I'm currently using some POS Artrax and I need something better. I mostly ride soft/intermediate stuff.

MICHELIN STARCROSS MS3 REAR TIRE - 100/90-19 | MotoSport
MICHELIN STARCROSS MS3 FRONT TIRE - 80/100-21 | MotoSport

If not these is there something better?

Why don't you snag those Michelins I posted for $55? You ride the same eastern dirt I do, and the S12's are really pretty good! Shit, at that price, ride them for a couple of months and toss them if you don't like 'em!:thumb:

 Your post reminded me that I needed new tires.

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't the S12's for soft terrain and the HP4 for "blue groove" hard pack terrain? I'm looking for more of an intermediate terrain type tire, but I do like that price better. :thumb:

I am liking the dunlop d952 for the rear. Getting good wear out of it. Not sure if rack got a pick of me going through the river bottom on our last trip but it pulled me through the deep sand and water pretty good and I have over three hundred miles on it so far.
I am really thinking of trying the s-12 for the front. S-12 is soft- intermediate.

not sure what you ride exactly but i had a set of the starcross... hated them... keep in mind i ride pretty much all rocky, rooted out, loose, leafy, muddy, slick, terrain here in south central pa... and yes i get all of that in one ride plus some dry, dusty, hardpack, or some nice super loam stuff too... the starcross fails at the muddy corners and anything with a drop of water on it imho. my favorite front is a bridgestone m59 :thumb: i absolutely LOVE that front, with a 402 on the rear you can't go wrong... but that's just me :noidea:

The place I ride the most is mostly loamy dirt. I don't do trails (yet) so roots, rocks, and leaves aren't a big deal.

WilliamsB27, what do you have on your KX250F?

then they may suit you a lot better. only place i didn't like them, like i said, was pretty much sloppy muddy corners and going over wet logs really sucked. guaranteed the front end washing out everytime :noidea: in the soft loamy stuff though they were decent... as i remember, i don't have the luxury of too much of that though :(

Metzeler MC6 and MC5 are great.
Bridgestone 90/100 403 is on my front right now
The other gotta have front is the Perilli Scorpion Pro and any
other Perilli for the front. IMO, Say no to Maxxis and Kenda.

Bang for the buck is the MC% from Motorcycle superstore.
