it hadn't started in about 2 years (its one of those I'd love to but money and time never met at the right place) fired up on the 3rd attempt. As best as I can tell it is a "hiboy" as it was called in the ford catalog.

purdy, whats she got under the hood 289, 302, 351? Mine had a 302 but I tore it out and put a 351 Cleveland in it, 2WD and shes pretty snotty now

I don't know how long the stroke is, but it was an attempt at big block torque out of a small block(ish) Steve Ossagp or one of the older dudes might know might. Thats what I had in mind for it, on top of doing my other truck related things :)

I want to get rid of the 16.5's and go to 32's on 16's, which I believe is 285/70R16

heres a pic of mine its at my college right now body/painting school. it has 15" rims and they are getting extremely hard to buy tires for I wanna ditch mine too but I wanna slam mine and make it a street rod. We can race mine and take yours off roading haha

The old turbine rims look great on yours, yours looks good period and I'm not even wild about flaresides.

and yes, 15's and 16's are starting to die out, for whatever reason people have decided sidewalls are a hidious thing

yeah seems like these kids now days gotta have 20"s and 22"s with rubber band wheels, until you hit a pot hole going out riding.... I really wanna get some 12" wide cheater slicks on her, put those pesky imports where they belong

A few years back, the last time the silverado got revised, I saw the pictures of the z71 (off road package) and thought wtf, with those low pro tires? did they have to haul it out to the ranch? The truck as I know it and love it seems to be a dying thing.

Flat out agree. Trucks are just not trucks anymore All the new pick up have those plastic "splash guard" things hanging from the front bumper... it leaves like 6" of ground clearance. What the hell are you gonna do with that?! go to the store and drop the kids off at school? for sure not going off road
