The reason that the phrase "Private Message(s)" has been replaced with Personal Conversation(s) is because it's no longer appropriate. The old PM system was a simple email type system, hence the Private Message. However you can now add/remove members to your personal conversation and the plan is to also allow attachments/images in PC's.
