Other 1992 xr100 running rough

Hey y’all, new Honda owner here. Got this 1992 100r for my son. Ran great until it started getting really hesitant and jerky. Then it lost spark. I replaced the spark plug, coil and CDI. Got the spark back. I cleaned the carb. It idles fine but once you take off it’s still hesitant, jerky and bogs down when going up any uphill grade. Chain is tight, clutch seems fine. Aside from replacing the carb what should I try???
Any help would be appreciated

Welcome!
I would start with adjusting the carburetor and see what results you can get.
Where is the idle mixture screw set?
Did you happen to check the jets for a number while you were in the bowl cleaning?
