i traded a 2001 yamaha 250 in poor condition for a 2004 husqvarna tc450 in fairly good condition. is this a good trade? what are common husqy problems.

Availability of specialty parts. Might be a good trade, you might have a paper weight after engine failure.
Specialty parts are like OEM only that can not be rebuilt. Water pump impeller, shaft, etc. other hard parts can be sourced from ebay or other.
A poor condition YZ can be fixed to be a great/fantastic/excellent bike for less than the husqvarna.
I own a 2008 TE450, had a 2009, and a 2008 SM610, as well as a 2006 TE250.
But I am the YZDOC, so there is a little partial to blue. And Husky was blue, yellow, red, black, white, hell almost all.

Do you know if the plastics are universal fit? They all look similar and I cannot find any pre-2014

If you didn’t want to fix up the YZ you’re really not going to want to fix the husky. Good luck
