Yes, I like alcohol for rinsing my tanks. Make sure you rinse with fresh gas afterwards. -BIG DAN

Same alcohol we used for my buddy's '04 kx250 which been sitting for more than 3 years.

i think its inside cuz i tried sand paper and it wont come of

its more of a stain, there is essentially no way to remove the yellow once it sets in.

Yeah, If you mean clean the exterior of the tank, good luck.
I spent 6 months wet sanding to get my dirtbike tank back to white.
Ruined it again after the first ride.

6 months of sanding to remove the autopaint and clearcoat. Looked like garbage on day 2 I bet. -BIG DAN

What grids did you use

I bet you can start at a high grit of 200 and go down to 800, 1000. Dan did make the tank look great but it took him time and a worn out shoulder no doubt.
