Will this affect my bike's performance?

Here, you can see that the connection between my Pro Circuit 2-stroke pipe & silencer combo is not flush. Unfortunately, Pro Circuit hasn't designed an aftermarket exhaust for my 2014 Husqvarna TC250. The one you see here is for a 2014 KTM 250SX, which has a different subframe, and therefore a different, non-optimal fit on the new Husqvarna. The pipe will not go any farther back, and the silencer won't go any farther forward in its current mounting configuration, which cannot be easily changed.

I've considered placing a hose clamp around it to prevent leakage, but what about the uneven fit? Could this small gap negatively affect performance by causing an unwanted interruption in the path of the escaping gases?

Anyone have experience with this? Should I worry about it? Thank you!

You should be able to find a length of high temp silicone hose to fit that just to make it tidy. However I find it prudent that you use the appropriate aftermarket equipment for your bike to keep it performing at it's best.
