So was supposed to be a full weekend in Ocotillo Wells with a (loaner) bike for Cory(my wife) to ride since she has outgrown the skill level of the crf 80 and honestly its just too small for her. So Palmer loaned us his crf150 which is just a bit bigger and not crazy or anything. Well the full weekend turned into us getting out on sunday. first order of buisness was the kid and he is off on his 50 riding the track near camp. i am gearing up for a small hour or so ride with a couple quad buddys of ours. at that time Cory is gearing up to ride the 150 so i stop and help her get it going and watch her take off with no problems and she is riding well. So i leave for my ride.
get back to camp to find out that Cory is being driven to the hospital. not but 5 mins after we left she went across some tracks in a wash got out of control, whiskey throttled it and fell over.... all of this in 2nd gear(rack pay attention now). She stands up and has blood on her knee. she gets back to camp and when my buddys see this.....
So they call 911 instantly(good people) less then 5 mins ambulance was there. They cleaned her up and bandaged it. She waited around camp for a good 45 mins before deciding to jsut go to the hospital without me. i show up at camp 15 mins after she left
So she gets to teh hospital and they tell her its amazing how clean of a cut it is. no skin lost.
they fix her up...

She was a trooper through the whole thing.
I really learned how tough my wife is this trip. She never really complained even though she had a rough night trying to sleep. I was kind of expecting her to tell me she just wants to stick to the 80 from here on out but it was the opposite. regardless she said she was having a lot of fun on the 150 and she is more pissed that she has to wait and heal before she can get back on it
ps.... to Palmer she says thanks so much for the well wishes that you already texted me.
