some of you newer peoples might not remmeber him but he was a guy who lived off his own land. was really into hunting and once told me he cant remember the last time he went to buy meat in a grocery store. i always loved that.

unfortunitly for me where i live its not feasable to live off the land and hunt my own meat like that. So i am doing the 2nd best thing....


Gardning. Growing my own food. i got dirt so why not right?

we got some jalapeno's

we got the bell perpper

some onion

maters

strawberrys and butternut squash

we had some spinach in there as well but we harvested it all enough times it stopped producing.

i just recently cut down like 5 trees that were nothing but privacy/fire hazard which just made my available gardening area 5X bigger. so plans are some fruit trees and more veggies

When I was a boy growing up on my Grandparents farm we were able to self sufficient. We had an acre of garden where we grew tomatoes, lettuce, onions, potatoes, corn, cucumbers, broccoli, spinach and bunch of other stuff. We also had pear, apple, mulbery and peach trees throughout the property. My grandfather had a vineyard and winepress. We also always had cows, chickens and at times pigs.. We were never hungry and on top of that My father and I were avid hunters and fishermen... I love knowing that if need be I can jump right back into being self sufficient, but I'm also surprised at the amount of people that would starve because they never learned to be a hunter gatherer. Pass this stuff on to your kids. Its honest and rewarding work.

yea i have an avocado tree that has been here since i moved in 15 years ago and it never produced... this year it started producing. i do deep watering on that bitch now.

we want to plant some apple and peach trees. i been looking at eggplant(cause i love it) cucumber and i have carrot seeds as well. I would like to do herbs and such but i get grasshoppers and they annihilate that shit

What you have right there will produce more veggies than you can eat provided that you keep it well watered and it stay a healthy Eco unit. Looks really good though.
