Couldn't find a thread on this topic so...

What are good steps to follow and things to check when taking a (4 stroke) bike out of retirement?
 
Start fresh fluids,Don't overlook brake fluid.
Check spokes/bearings/chains/chain rollers.
Check over hoses,including fuel line.
Go through carb.
Check and note valve specs and compression.
Check seal on rad cap.
Check over tires,and inspect the tube nipple thing.
Check,adjust and lube cables.

Excellent post BK but, you forgot one critical step:
Check graphics - make sure they're Sikk.

wait does this mean your actually going to get the bike out of the garage, on the trailer and bring it out to the track?
