I have a 2011 rmz 450 with a blown motor so I brought a replacement motor but from a 2016 model, the bike was kicking over far too easy as if it had no compression, so I took the cam cover off and the timing was off also the intake cam had some marks on it and the cover was damaged / worn so can I put the head from the 2011 motor on the 2016 motor

From what I see online, the heads were similar from 08-17.
You'd need to compare the two side by side, but it seems it may work.

They do look similar but I have noticed the cam cover is slightly different they have dowel pins in different loacations
