New here, new purchase, what do I have?

Hello all, new to the forum, new owner of a dirt bike. I maybe should have posted before I bought it, but I just took delivery of a used Kawi 300R and dont know anything about bikes at all, hoping I got a good deal, and hoping you guys can identify any non-factory items on the bike so I can make note.

2022 300R, 12hrs
along with the bike he gave me a new tire, a helmet, a service manual, and a lot of new parts in order to make it street legal but I have to do it myself.
I paid $3,500 total.

Can you guys please tell me anything you recognize that is NOT factory? Or anything i should change immediately

Thanks gang!

This is Fresh!
Looks clean to me!
I'd probably be interested in exhaust mods to make it bark, and bar risers to get you standing, but otherwise looks pretty set-up!
Post some videos of you riding this beast! Make a ride report of your next ride!

Possibly aftermarket bars and top bar clamps. But anything could come from factory as far as bars is concerned.
Put what feels best to you. I always crank my bars way up high so I can stand.

If you can have a look at the pics and let me know anything else you spot that may have been added, please do let me know. I see the skid plate im assuming thats aftermarket also

I read that my shocks have adjustments on them, do I need tools for that or just do it by hand? I havent gotten a close look at it yet its raining today :(

Take a look at your service manual; it should tell you what adjustments you have. Typical adjustments are for rebound and dampening, but some have only one or no external adjustment. I would think that bike would have them, but not sure what brand/model forks and shock they come with. Fork/shock oil viscosity and quantity have an effect on their performance as well. But yeah, if it has the stock springs, you will need to replace them with something heavier - most bikes come with extremely soft springs. In all of these years, Japan has never figured out Americans are not 125 lbs, 5 ft nothing like a lot of their people.

yes you're going to crush it. A Kawi shop should be able to change the springs out for you relatively cheaply. Cant hurt to call them, tell 'em what kind of bike you have and just say I'm 300# and they will know what you want!
or you can diet
