Is anyone able to tell me how tightening the steering head nut actually puts tension on the bearing, just out of curiosity?
I tightened up the nut a little too tight where the bars were awfully hard to turn and was just wondering. Does the force of the nut tension push the bearing down the stem shaft, or does the force from tightening the nut force the top triple clamp down further, thus adding more tension to the bearing?
