The $10,000 winner take all event was a big hit last year. The California desert version of an Extreme Enduro attracted a diverse group of top off-road motorcycle racers. Great Britain's Graham Jarvis showed why he is recognized as the best Extreme Enduro rider in the world by outlasting the field. Kyle Redmond, the California native that is a top EnduroCross racer that has competed in several International Extreme Enduro events kept Jarvis honest and finished second while Destry Abbott, the multi time AMA Hare & Hound champion rounded out the podium and was one of only six official finishers.

The extremely tough course that traverses the rocky hills and washes in Lucerne left the field scattered behind with a lot of broken bikes and ego's. Kurt Caselli and Cody Webb were among the early leaders that failed to finish.
Louise Forsley, the top American Trials rider and EnduroCross regular has entered the expert class and is aiming to be the first female rider to finish the King of the Motos.
If you can't be there in person, there will be a live webcast starting at 8:00 AM PST. Click here to watch: http://ultra4racing.com/live/

Big list of people..........:ride:

Abbots daughter posted that on FB today... looks like they just went out and rode last years route hoping it'd be about the same... Gonna be awesome! Gotta figure out how to record it off my computer somehow

Pre-run!? You don't pre-run desert events like this. :naughty:
apparently this one they do. all the hammers stuff they do as well. jsut met a guy who is racing and all the routes are posted beforehand. I know that the rules for the VCGP say you will be disqualified.

ok so the only one who got on a bike to watch the start was sun. i dont know how that went besides some pics i seen on FB.

we did ride today and rode part of the course backwards accidentily... till it hit some crazy rocks and we went another way. Then we ended up on the section of the course that is right at Hammer Town and watched a helicopter film a guy jsut finishing the last section. Dude was going slow and sitting down so we think they were just getting footage and it was prolly no one special :P. Another section we crossed where they had gas and a checkpoint. I have to admit it was pretty cool to see the stuff but on the other hand it was more of a hassle for our ride then anything.

Also fencing... they put shit tons of it up. we gave no fucks and went around em but DAAAAYYYMNMMMM they got well over half of the lake bed fenced off and part of the hills right there.
