I got a date!

I know I've been very mia, I've been busy running around getting notes from doctors and whole bunch of other crap.
BUT YES, I have a date, a date with good ole uncle sam. This little girl is moving on up and leaving for Basic Training on June 6th. I don't know where I'll be going yet, but my MOS is 74D Chemical Operations Specialist. So basically if we ever get nuked I'll be cleaning up after that mess. Oh joy. Lol no but really, I guess part of my AIT(advanced individual training) I get slapped with one of those pretty yellow chemical suits and get exposed to a fuck ton of chemicals and what not.
Lets hope I make it back in one piece lmao.

That sounds like something that would transfer into a HAZMAT civilian job afterward. :thumb:

BTW thanks for wanting to serve this great Nation. :USA: :salute:

I'm actually not looking into transferring this over to a civilian job, I'm either going to put my 20 years into the Army for an early retirement at age 39(how great would that be lol), or if I don't decide to go for the 20years, or reenlist for that matter I'm looking to be a large animal veterinarian. HAZMAT works actually don't make THAT much money. I believe the "best of the best" make about 60grand a year. Which is comfortable but definitely not what I'm planning on making. While I'm in I'm going to be taking college courses for large animal vet because I'm supposed to be taking over the family horse training business, and if anything happens to my horses I'd like to be able to diagnose and treat most of the injuries/sicknesses.

And to everybody who else commented thank you so much for the support!
