2 Stroke Husqvarna no spark

Hello, I have a 1996 husqvarna wxe250 with no spark... already discovered coil is bad (it fell apart) but I’m also not getting power to the coil itself, is it a bad cdi box? Or stator? It’s hard to test if I’m getting power to the stator due to it being kick start. Are there anyways to test the cdi? Or ways to test the stator? Thanks.

I would say stator. Call Uptite Husqvarna/Beta in Santa Ana CA, and you will talk to a guy that can help trouble shoot.
I was able to test the stator by using a volt meter, I was getting around 8-9 volts while using my hand to move the kick starter (no spark plug in the motor)

The manual will show you the resistance readings you should be getting between the windings of the different components.
I assume the typial tests... Coil, Stator, Pulse Generator, kill switch, etc...

I just purchased the bike and it did not come with a manual or anything like that, after taking it apart I discovered it has a brand new coil and I’m getting power off the stator

I don’t know if that model has a fuse, I assume not. Palmer 84 had a husky that died on him a while back twice he checked the fuse but ended up being towed back to camp. He spent ours looking for the issue until he finally decided to change the fuse..... it started right away.
From what I can see I can only find the cdi, and then that goes straight to the killswitch and straight to the coil

No, what you should be saying is replace the fuse. :stirthepot:

Sometimes your humor dicks people up. I guess it's to be expected from a Smidge Porn Pimp. :smirk:

Which one of those did you discover first?
Did it run when you bought it?
I thought that it was bad because the boot came off with little to no effort, but I was able to twist it back on and I popped into place, but other than that there isn’t even dust on the coil, it looks like the kid put it on before it was sold. And no it did not run when I purchased it.

Was there some wire showing? If not, you may want to strip it back. Also, make sure you have the plug grounded against the frame well. If you can, have someone kick it over quickly while you hold the plug. If there’s juice it will get your attention
