hi from the past....

in Northern California, old school biker. Mostly street in earlier days with 2 strokes with a few crossover types. Dirt biked in Morocco in early 80s in totally wild areas. Have mostly 2 stroke RD350s street bikes now but have kept my suzuki 185 (1972?) dirt bike and a honda 70 trail. Used them for mining trails in the foothills gold country to go prospecting.

Welcome to dba “Flaming hole” I hope that heals up for ya btw. Sooo how do you hunt for gold on a dirtbike? It’s about time these things start giving me a return on my investment.

yes, there are a lot of trails that lead down to steep river canyons, some of the trails cut during the time of the 49ers and the gold rush. some are so rugged and narrow a 4x4 can not fit. On one trail I used to go on, even the suzuki 185 couldn't do it because it was too steep. But the Honda 70 with its auto trans could do it. That thing can climb a vertical wall as long as you have some way of keeping it against it.
