Sunday Jan. 27 Gateway Husqvarna sponsored a Fun Scramble for practice and bragging rights at the Briggs Training Facility.....Here are the results.
It was a fun day for everyone except for Jeff from Gateway. Jeff tried to make love to a tree….It wasn’t a pretty sight.
He didn’t finish his first lap. The top riders, Lars Valin, Steve Akers, & Mike Windmann, battled for 5 laps. Lars got the hole shot and lead Mike & Steve for 3 laps. Steve had a bad start and followed for 2 laps before passing Mike. The next lap he passed Lars for the lead before bike problems stopped him on lap 4. Lap 4 also saw mike passing Lars who eventually ran out of gas on lap 5. So, with Steve out on lap 4 and Lars out on lap 5, Mike ended up with the overall win. Steve had a pretty good gap on the field when his bike died and wouldn’t refire.
