crushing out the past of american trucking

we started to crush out some of the older big trucks we have laying around, started with this 74 International 4070b Cabover.....
buried up to the hub in dirt, been sitting since the late 70's or early 80's.

its a bit gloomy I guess you might say with all the guys stuff left in it from when he left the truck 20-30 years ago, found his slippers, a change of clothes, a couple cans of that lemonade stuff, and his coffee cup was securly fastened to the dash when we started.

more to come later

this cabover is identical to the one I started in moving trailers around the yard, which we still have mine, and it still runs too :)

I drove the same model International C/O down in the L.A. Harbor for one summer many years ago. Hotter than hell, dirty, noisy, but the gearbox shifted like butter.
The mechanic who worked on the fleet had a great sense of humor, he attached an old range shifter (complete with vacuum hose) on the stickshift of the Hyundai I was driving back then, passengers were in awe that my little import had so many gears.......
My guess on the other truck is a Dodge, not sure of the model.
