250 Bike won't start

So I have had my bike for a while now, I stopped riding and went back out to ride about a hour latter and it wouldn't start, I have replaced the spark plug, put more gas in and cleaned out the carb but still won't start, it also kinda like backfires and makes a pop sound,
anyone have any idea what is wrong with it?

What did the old plug look/smell like? Gas?
If not, shoot some flammable substance (carb cleaner) into its throat and see if it pops.

Clean the carb twice, then once more for good luck, set the float level. Then try starting it.
They just don’t stop running, something went wrong. Do you have a manual?

Bikes age in dog years so that would make it like 100 years old, so maybe it is just tired. My dog gets pretty tired after running a little while so maybe that's it. But she's kinda fat too, is your kx fat?
