A little engine help here

Hey guys, so I ripped down the trail bike to find the timing chain tension-er was made of plastic, therefore melting and trashing my engine. I got all the loose pieces out and need some help getting the rest of the torched pain-in-the-ass out of there. But to do so I have to get behind this flywheel first. I got the main nut off, and the ones connecting it to the sprocket behind it, but I can't get this goddamn thing off :foul: Can someone help me out here?001.jpg
part number 3 is what melted off

Not a bad design, just a consumable item.
That is how ALL cam chains run in a 4T engine. Streetbikes and Dirtbikes alike.

It's plastic, rubbing up against the timing chain continuously, really bad design. The engine isn't overheating though.
Was going to say that that's how mine is, but Dan beat me to it.

Which would you rather have wear down, the cam chain (by having a metal slider) or the plastic slider? :noidea:
