Other 1987 XL250R wiring diagram help

I am bringing back to life An 87 XL 250r and there was no air box or battery holder. (I found them thanks to this site :) thanks) On the right side near the air box under the seat their are 2 cut wires... a red and a green. Would those be for the battery... I can't seem to find any of wires but find it odd that Honda would green for battery negative and not black..... or does anyone have a wiring diagram they can send? I can't seem to find one in interweb. Thanks

Green is Earth (ground) in some electrical systems.
Do you have a photo? I don't think there was a battery on that model. -BIG DAN:thumb:

Thanks. I can get a pic. A few of the wiring harnesses on ebay have a green and red I see that looks like a battery was connected (red has a fuse in the wire). I think it had a battery as I think the battery ran the lights and turn signals.... still would a diagram of anyone has one :) thanks
