That's like putting lingerie on a fat woman. 
There is a lot of talk of MRD Racing for those early model crf250's. Hand built/welded by the owner and a great warranty. The site says you will get a free replacement if you bust up the pipe within the first 6 months. For 3 years, if there is any break in a weld or any manufacturer's defect, they will fix it if it's a properly maintained pipe.
