When removing valve springs, cut a paper towel holder and slip it over the valve spring to keep your tool centered and prevent booger head.

I have various nylon "swag" bags and soft side coolers that collect dust so I found one that was willing to donate it's handle to my motorcycle. Although not exactly an invention, a clever repurposing of the strap saved me $25 off the store bought type. Some bikes just got no good grab holes, and in having used this strap everytime I rode it I'm gonna look around the attic for a blue one to
put on the Yamaha.

I spent too much time fiddling with those rad shroud bolts, I decided to run a bolt in through the backside and nut it. Easier to stab in and the louver is threaded so the bolt won't drop out.

Ha yeah I just grabbed a bolt. If it stuck out I would have dug around for a shorter one. Never spend more than 10 seconds threading the shroud on now though.

HELP - Need a quick fix!
Got the ol' YZ 250 resurrected this week and was hoping to bring it to the track tomorrow and break it in but the damn float bowl o-ring is leaking, and one cannot be found in the area.

Who's got a sure-fire, fool-proof, quickie band-aid fix?
@2Wheels - didn't you mention that you had a trick not long ago...?

Can you flip the o ring over? sometimes that does the trick.
