South SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA HOLIDAY SEASON 2016

Im planning on the dez for Tday. BUT, with my surgery still healing Im not gonna be trying hillclimbs n such, just easy trail riding this year. I find my home group of riders is dwindling due to age and permanent injuries. Down to just a few now. I'll be 60 in Dec. If it wasn't for my g-son I may be close to calling it quits too, just too many health issues. I'll keep at it for now and see how it goes.

I found some nice Travertine at Brodiesian today. I'll be slicing that up and bull nosing the edge before my next trip to AZ 11/11 to 20/2016, then T-day in three days after that Ill be off for 2 more days.

I have 228 hours on the books + 18 accumulation by June to burn before I retire, and sit on my ass or go on a bike ride and collect 80% of my monthly income. If I live 8 years after I retire, I will start living of their money, not the money I paid in.

So lets ride!

:noidea: I am old too, I think. I like slumber parties and I also have Arizona trips to be made. I also hear talk about some riding going on but nobody knows where anyone is going yet. I am going to have to swing by Palmers place on the way to my place one of these days.

Sorry to hear that. I turned 65 in may and still feel like riding, but like you, my friends have aged out. My son is busy with his airplane and work on planes for too much, but we got a couple of rides in. Sooner or later the healing just seemed to take too much time for most of mine to keep doing it. It is probably trying to tell me something that I am so far not listening to. It's easy to understand someone wanting to ride the rivers and lakes than the trails though.

T-day, I will be 2 days in the saddle heading across the dez. Friday starting in Lancaster and heading over towards the spangler/fremont area and ending in Barstow. Sat, heading to Vegas. 500 miles total of beautiful dez. May try a day trip over Christmas weekend, but then I am in Vegas on new years. The manager has it on her bucket list and I said, let's get it done this year. Tadpole need some rides in, so I will try to squeeze some in here and there.

I hope not too, but I sure have lived long enough to hear people say that.........but hell, lots of them that said it died young too, so they made their word stick:smirk:
Just need to stay in shape, take care of the health and ride as much as you can...
