Sloppy the Bronco

although Jared hated the 92 F150 with the 300 his dad got for him and abused the hell out of it, I remember checking the oil before a road trip and having to add 4 quarts to bring it back up to full and the damn thing kept going with no issue, got t boned and totaled but my dad picked it up and drove it and its horseshoed frame up on the tow truck

The early to mid 80's Impala with the 4v 305 and the TH700R4 went like a bat out of hell, in the pickup it was decent, but the 302 probably had a bit more torque to move the ford half tons. But the 305 was a very good motor, I even ran one in a stock car that ate up all the 350 and 400 sb's mostly because it would hit the redline at the time I shut down for the corners while the aforementioned engines had not quite peaked at that point. One weekend I set a track record during time trials, beat out all the other classes including sportsman with my little (slightly modded) "stock" 305.

Sorry I missed that. 305's were parts bin motors and I never saw one that would run with anything it's size.

I don't know if you recall a company down off post road named Sahlberg Equipment. The last Sahlberg there was Bob. Probably the shortest guy in the business. He had a Cosworth vega with a bad motor and spent a weekend putting a 305 in it. I had some chev 441 casting heads and made him a trade. 194/150 valves. Worked much better. Next step was pistons. A cheap set of Badgers at around 9.5 considering the heads. About then it got a carter that came with the "strip kit" with all those needles. Finally it was faster than the Cosworth. It got to corners much faster than it would turn them.

Ray Belanger wasn't involved with that Vega was he?

I have kinda determined that this huge ass bumper needs to come off, I do want a winch bumper but this one is way too big and not very well thought out as it sticks out too far (messes with the angle of attack in a bad way)

one side is off, cleaned and painted.
