Blue Plate Vs. Green Plate.

i know that if a bike is blue plated it is street legal, if a bike is green plated what does it allow you to do? also, my current bike is blue plated but it is not insured or licenced, can i get a green plate for it or would it get rid of my blue plate so it can never be street legal again?

We have somewhat the same rules here in California.
An OHV (green plate) can only be used for offroad use on designated and signed areas. So if the area is not specifically for OHV use, it's not legal to operate an OHV there.
Street legal vehicles (blue plate) can operated in both road legal and OHV legal areas.

Here in California, once an OHV, always an OHV. Prior to 2003 you could legally make an OHV road legal, and it would still be accepted today, but not any longer. An OHV will always be an OHV in California. You can make any road legal vehicle into an OHV, but I am uncertain about getting it back to road legal.
YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY. OUR LAWS VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.
Good luck, I have both and they both have their own purpose. -BIG DAN:thumb:
